I was honestly impressed with Rick. He was very accommodating to me and my boyfriend’s vastly different skill levels. I’d never done this sort of fishing before, and I felt like he provided a great amount of information to get me started. The boat and equipment were clean and already rigged, and he quickly tied a new setup as needed. Rick was incredibly personable and made good conversation during the trip. I highly recommend his guided trip, definitely worth it!

We had a great 5 hour fishing trip. We had 2 of our adult children visiting us in the desert from Canada to experience a day on Lake Pleasant. The weather was beautiful and we had the lake almost to ourselves! Three of our group of four had never fished before and within 10 minutes we had about a 5 lb. striped bass! Captain Rick gave the newbies lots of 1:1 instruction and attention, but also able to give our daughter, who fishes regularly back home, some new learning opportunities about different baits, fish facts etc. etc.  It was a great experience for our family and we had an amazingly tasty fish fry back home at the end of the day. Absolutely delicious fish! We all highly recommend this experience!

I had not been able to go fishing in over a year and I am so happy I picked this service! Rick was fantastic; his knowledge of the lake, structure and fish behavior based on time of year and water temperature is incredible. We found a lot of fish with his graph and were able to get 7 stripers and a few catfish between me and the other angler. I didn’t take pictures of all of them but the smallest one was about 3.5lbs and the biggest over 6lbs.

The boat is very well equipped, from the fish finder to the already set up rods for trolling and bait fishing. Rick was very attentive and his customer service is great. We originally had the trip booked for Monday but the weather called for rain so he worked around our schedules and found a time to get is out.

If you’re looking to fish Lake Pleasant, the hardest lake to fish in AZ even with the latest electronics , I would highly recommend you hire Rick with Arizona Sport Fishing.

First and for most, Rick is an awesome guy! His passion for fishing truly made the difference in my experience. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about his profession! We left dock about 30 minutes early and started trolling, lo and behold the fish started coming in! I myself caught 5 awesome size striper (2-3lbs) which are great for eating! If you want to have a great time fishing on lake pleasant, then Rick Phillips is your Captain! This was my second charter with him and definitely not my last! Very excited for future trips.
