Runaway Sportfishing - Jaco
Runaway Sportfishing spends the winter in the famous sportfishing town of Jaco, guiding groups out to the fish of their dreams in this wonderful angling heaven. They offer nothing but the best fishing onboard a great boat which has been recently restored to the highest standards.
Spend the morning fishing inshore for a selection of table and game species including Roosterfish, Jacks, Snapper, and Barracuda while taking in the stunning nature around Playa Herradura. Head out for longer and you will have the chance to fish offshore, battling Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Tuna, and even Marlin.
Whatever you do, do it in style aboard the Runaway. This 32’ Blackfin sportfisher was completely overhauled in 2016 and now comes equipped with some serious equipment, as well as plenty of little luxuries to keep you happy. She is powered by twin 385HP Caterpillar engines which kick her up to an impressive cruising speed of just under 30 knots.
She features outriggers and downriggers to give you the best spread, tuna tubes and a livewell to keep your bait fresh no matter how big it is, and a rocket launcher-style fighting chair to let you hold your own against even the biggest of bluewater beasts. Down below deck you will find an enclosed toilet, a galley, bed, and plenty of space to escape the hot tropical sun after hard-fought battles on deck.
All trips come with snacks and soft drinks, and you will even be given lunch on full day trips. At the end of the day, your catch will be cleaned and filleted ready to enjoy at one of the local restaurants. This is all part of the five-star service which Captain Carlos and his crew work hard to provide to every client who steps aboard.
