Our trip with Captain Ethan and Reel Sanibel was one for the books. I took my dad and my two sons, aged 10 and 13, and we all had an amazing time. Communication leading up to the trip was excellent; Captain Ethan asked for specifics on what we wanted to do, which made for a personalized experience. He was incredibly patient with my boys, offering clear instructions and making sure they felt comfortable as we got started. His dedication to ensuring we had a great time and caught as many fish as possible was evident throughout. I highly recommend Captain Ethan for anyone looking for a fun, family-friendly day on the water. We enjoyed it so much that we booked a second charter while still on the same vacation!

Ethan was flexible on our pickup point so we could avoid Sanibel traffic and after a short 20min run we were ON THE FISH! Great trout and snook.  After the wind picked up Ethan got us into a protected creek lined with mangroves and showed us a new twist on fishing creek habitat. We were immediately back on the fish.  Many snook 28 to 32 inches and had a ‘big boy’ break off!!!  Our party of three had varied levels of experience and Ethan was great answering all our questions and coaching us up.  I’ve fished with guides and charters from Alaska to Big Pine key and I’ve never had a guide better at putting us on fish and fishing as hard or a laid back as we wanted.  I recommend Ethan without reservation just don’t book him solid as we will be repeat customers. This was our first fishing charter with Captain Ethan but it won’t be the last!  Our group of 4 had the best time. Ethan knows all the spots to go for the best fishing.  We were hoping to get to do some shelling that day but the tide was too high but that worked out well because we had so much fun fishing; the time flew by. I caught 3 fish (and released) and there is still debate about whether it was the same fish each time. I knew nothing about fishing and that didn’t make a difference with how much fun we had. Captain Ethan will do as much or as little work as you want. He is happy to oblige in any way. I would highly recommend Captain Ethan and Reel Sanibel Fishing Charters. Captain Ethan is years beyond his age of excellence in the fishery of the Fort Myers area! My son and I booked a half day trip and we caught many species of fish throughout the morning.

My son and I had many great conversations while catching fish and learned something new from Captain Ethan, that all snook are born male, go figure!!!!
