I took a chance on Captain Bruce based on a friend’s referral. I’m pleased to say it was everything I’d hoped for, and more. Captain Bruce possesses an enormous knowledge base, which makes him ideal for targeting one or many different species in the Keys. As a dedicated and loving husband and father, Bruce is also remarkably patient, deliberate, and kind with children. Over the course of two full days, my 12 year-old daughter felt right at home on the boat. In turn, this eased her anxiety and made her a very effective angler. Captain Bruce docks at Isla Marina, which is prime real estate in Islamorada. As such, this enhances an already efficient system and further streamlines the day. It’s a known fact that some of the best guides in the world run out of Islamorada, and I’m sure you could find a few who are equally proficient. After fishing with Bruce, however, I also think you’d be hard-pressed to find someone as balanced and dedicated to their craft as “Captain Easy.” Good luck, tight lines, and give Captain Bruce a call.

Took my family (wife,14 yr old son and 15 yr old daughter) on a half day charter starting at 7 am. We asked to go reef fishing because we’re novices and wanted to learn something we can do on our boat.

Capt Easy and his son, Ian, were super nice, conversational and funny. Never any inappropriate jokes or language which was great.

The best part is that they put us on some serious fish. We caught about 30 yellowtail and two Mutton Snapper that were literally trophy fish. One was 32 inches!

They were booked for the remainder of our visit or I would’ve booked again before we left.

My brother and I both took Captain Bruce’s vessel out on a day which looked to be a trainwreck, but luckily Bruce was wonderful to work with, we pushed it back due to storms for two hours and nailed the perfect window with excellent execution. He shared some wisdom and high level knowledge. Within an hour we were nailing Tuna and limited out at our 10. And navigated the Islamorada hump and hit 7 more Mahi Mahi for a day which was down pouring and having lightning all over the sky. His expertise is recognized beyond measure and this dude is an absolute professional. I would recommend him to everyone who visits over any competition, and If I come to Islamorada again I will be sure to book with Bruce and Easy does it Islamorada again. Thank you! -Reed

Omg!! Captain Bruce and his son Ian were sooo knowledgeable. We had such a great time. I got sea sick and they had a bean bag to accommodate me, that made me feel
soo much better. My husband and his friend caught sooo much fish. They ended up getting 28 fishes mostly yellow tail snappers and vermilion snappers. We will be back it was awesome! Thank you sooo much for making this one of the best birthday experiences. We definitely recommend 1000%.

I can’t say enough about Capt Bruce. We have taken about 6 trips with Bruce now and I would never use a different captain in the keys. The trips are enjoyable. The captain is professional. He makes the trips fun for whoever is on board. He will let you do as much or as little as you want in the fishing day and I learn a ton on every trip. Most recently this beautiful sailfish for my father’s 70th bday. But in the same trip when the gamefish was a bit slow we then went to fill up the cooler with a few dinners of beautiful snapper. I recommend Capt Bruce without hesitation and I still go out with captain bruce even though I have my own boat there locally. He’s that good!
