My wife and I had a great experience with Salty Morada Charters. We booked a 6 hour offshore trip. We left in the morning and it was a little rough, but the boat was capable and Captain Kevin made it a good enjoyable ride out. When we got to the area to start trolling, the Mate Aaron got everything ready and we were soon patrolling the floating grass patches. The captain and mate worked the entire time, guiding us through the patches, checking lines and baits and we were rewarded with 6 mahi mahi (2 nice keepers). I was listening to the radio, and from the sound of it, that was better than the boats I was hearing. For the last part of the trip, we headed back in to the reef area and they put us on a lot of yellow tail snapper. We caught a few keepers, but we had constant action and had some legitimate chances at some yellow jacks and a large barracuda. Back at the dock, Captain Kevin cleaned our catch for us and suggested we take some of our catch to Lazy Days for supper (Cook your Catch). We took them up on the recommendation and the meal was fantastic.

By far and away, the best fishing charter we’ve ever had as a family. Captain Kevin and his mate, Bryon, knew exactly where to go to ensure we had a successful day!  There were very few times where one of us in our party of 4 weren’t wrangling a snapper onto the boat. We were thrilled to catch the legal limit and had plenty for dinner that night and to take home!  Captain Kevin and Byron were very personable and helpful throughout our three hour charter! In addition, the boat was exceptionally clean and waters were cold on a hot day. 100% would recommend and book again!

Blessed to have the end of the cold front so that we could still get out.  Still had north wind so it was bad conditions.  Went out to the humps and Watched other sport boats get nothing while we pulled 4 tuna to enjoy eating!
Also pulled out an early season good eating Mahi in the 75 deg water.  ahead of their typical 80+ deg water arrival and season.
Hit a sand bar to pull 2 cuda out for the boys to reel in.
Kevin did a great job with the conditions we were dealt.
We also enjoyed his wife’s olive morada shop.  Highly recommend visiting for some awesome marinades if you cook your own.

I read a lot of reviews, but I rarely post any. This is one of the exceptions. We booked a 4-hour fishing trip with Captain Kevin for our family. Three kids: 8, 11 and 13 year old. It was by far the best fishing experience that we had as a family. Captain Kevin is a great fisherman, and he is even better dealing with kids. We caught 9 black fin tunas. Captain filleted the fish at the dock, which in itself was a show! There were pelicans, egrets and… a manatee. We absolutely loved it and next time we are in South Florida, we will be taking another fishing adventure with Captain Kevin!

We had a fantastic time. Kevin and Aaron were total pros. Very knowledgeable. Beautiful boat. 5 of us were able to fish without once getting in each others way. We caught so many keeper yellow tail snapper it was hard to keep up. We threw many keepers back. Caught a few other species to keep it interesting for the kids. There was not a single dull moment. We will certainly use Kevin and his crew again.
