Captain Jimmy Wickett operates a new 30’ center console Mako, powered by twin Mercury 300HP outboard engines to get you to the fishing grounds fast, while minimizing the smell of diesel fumes. The boat features a T-top as well as a toilet on board, and comes equipped with the standard in fishing charter electronics and navigational gear, such as GPS, radio and fishfinder. It’s got enough room to accommodate groups of up to 6 anglers per trip. Shimano and electric reels are utilized on board.
Captain Jimmy is a Florida native and a veteran saltwater guide, having been fishing the waterways of South Florida and the Keys for more than 20 years now. He’s happy to share his passion for the ocean with anglers of all ages and skill levels, from novice to the tournament fisherman, and specializes in light tackle fishing for the likes of Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, Tuna, King Mackerel, Wahoo, Snapper, Tarpon and more. Jimmy’s filmed several TV shows for the NBC Sports Network and the WFN (World Fishing Network), and regularly dishes his radio fishing report on the 560 WQAM. When off the water, Capt. Wickett also teaches a variety of fishing seminars, from casting clinics for young anglers to tournament-proven methods and techniques.
The offshore waters of South Florida are teeming with a variety of pelagics, including Sailfish, Swordfish, Wahoo, Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Kingfish, Grouper, Snapper and Sharks. Captain Jimmy and the Getchasome crew offer private Half Day and Full Day offshore trips, made available daily, with all the licensing, fishing equipment as well as live bait included. Other specialized charters are available on request, from inshore fishing the productive Biscayne Bay to trips to the Bimini island chain in the Bahamas.
The boat also features a multimedia system on board, as well as a cooler with ice. There are no hidden fees involved with booking the trip.
