Trophy Salmon and Trout Fishing
Driftwater Sportfishing is centrally located in Pulaski minutes from the best cold water fishing on the east coast.
Capt. Mark Ledden owner of Driftwater Sportfishing has been a USCG certified captain for over twnety years and is a wealth of local knowledge. Mark grew up just a mile up the coast from where he keeps his boat docked at the Salmon River Lighthouse Marina. He has been fishing these waters since a he could hold a fishing rod and he continues that tradition by offering some of that local knowledge to you, on on his personally guided fishing charters.
We offer a few different options for charter fishing on Lake Ontario, including a 6 hour (halfday) and a 8 hour (full day) trips, fishing for Salmon, and trophy trout. Mark will let you know what your best options are and what is biting the best for the time frame you are planning to fish. Typically the months April, May, and June are trout months where the target species will be lake Brown Trout or trophy sized Lake Trout. July can be trophy Brown Trout time but also this is when the summer salmons show up as well. Augut and September are for Salmon. This is when the east end of Lake Ontario gets inundated with tens of thousands of huge King and Coho salmon.
Besides being a life long fisherman Capt Mark is addicted to boats and finding the perfect boat for the job. He has bought, sold, or built 33 boats looking for that perfect boat for the job. Currently he has found that perfect boat to be his 25’ Hewescraft 220 Ocean Pro with a fully inclosed cabin, that can safely take up to 6 anglers but he likes to keep it at a four angler max. The boat is epquiped with the best in electronics with Garmin and Furono sonars and Garmin radar. The boat has many creature comforts as well, like a heated cabin, and comfortable out of the elements seating for everyone.
All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the trip so you can focus on what really matters, fishing.
