He takes pride in having excellent-quality gear, the latest navigation and fishfinder technology, as well as a clean boat. With almost 20 years of experience as a teacher, Capt. The boat you’ll be using is a restored 27’ Regency pontoon that can sit up to 8 guests. The vessel provides plenty of room for everybody to fish and not feel cramped. Powered by a 250 HP Mercury Verado four-stroke engine, it will quickly take you to the fishing grounds.
Capt. Jason guides primarily for Catfish and uses many different techniques to attract them. You’re welcome to catch and release or keep the full legal limit. If you choose to keep your fish, the captain will be happy to clean it for you so you can take some delicious fish fillets home to cook up!
The captain also guides for Carp and Buffalo (European-style). Most of these trips are done from the bank, but he will often boat to an area suitable to fish from the bank. This kind of fishing guarantees action and a different kind of experience. It even made the captain’s wife change her mind and fall in love with fishing! You’re covered for all the fishing tackle and bait. But before you come aboard, you’ll need to make sure to have your TX fishing licenses and some snacks and drinks.
