Hook N Cook Sport Charter Fishing runs angling trips out of Cape May and strives for making your day! Capt. Timothy will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. He specializes in light tackle, heavy tackle, bottom fishing, trolling, big game fishing, drift fishing, jigging, and spinning – all just to get you on that bite.
They offer a variety of trips ranging from 4 to 15-hour adventures, mainly fishing for Seabass, Flounder, Bass, Black Drum, Dolphin, and Tuna, depending on the season and conditions on the day of the outing.
Your adventure begins with their 30’ Pro line boat that can fit a maximum of 6 anglers. And you won’t have to worry about the blazing sun since they have AC and ice box for keeping fish and drinks cool. The boat also comes with a toilet.
All rods, reels, and tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters – fishing. You can keep anything you catch, as long as it’s aligned with the latest rules and regulations. Your trip also includes all the necessary fishing licenses for the day.
There is a first mate to help you with anything you need. Tips for good service are always appreciated. This is a children-friendly charter, so you’re welcome to bring your kids on for a fun fishing adventure.

4 Hour Trip (AM) - Bottom Fishing
Pretty great weather and company
Weather was quite stormy on the drive in, which led to a pretty relaxing fishing experience once we headed out at 8 AM. Skies were clear and a refreshing wind was flowing. We were unable to go miles out due to the wind, and stayed around the rocks to fish Tautog / "Tog" / (Blackfish). Despite my inexperience, I managed to fish up about 4 tog (3 were undersize), and my friend and I ended up with 3 total (one given by the captain). There were more than a few snags on rocks, but the captain Tim and first mate John handled this with grace and just readied up another rod. John was also very willing to explain optimal fishing conditions, differences in wind, tide, and temperature for certain fish targets. Overall, a good experience, and I think the captain and first mate really looked out for each other. Also, Tog is pretty delicious!
