Sea Mee Charters runs angling trips out of Norfolk and offers to show you what the local fishery is all about.

Capt. Shawn aims to tailor every trip to your specific needs, so let him know what you’re after! Depending on the trip and species, you’ll be using techniques like bottom fishing, trolling, drift fishing, sight casting and jigging. You’re looking at 3 to 10-hour trips, where you’ll usually go after the likes of Cobia, Spadefish, Flounder, Sea Bass, Mahi Mahi, and Tautog, depending on the weather and time of year.

Your adventure begins on board a 29’ Downeaster boat that can fit a maximum of 6 anglers. The boat is fitted with an ice box. All the necessary fishing gear is included in the price of your trip. It’s up to you is to use it as best you can.

No need to worry about fishing licenses, as they will be provided and handled by the charter. You’re welcome to keep all legal species caught during the trip.

Here to help you with anything you need, the first mate will be on hand during the trip. Leaving a tip for a job well done is much appreciated. This is a children-friendly charter, so you’re welcome to bring your kids on for a fun fishing adventure.

    Enjoy a fast pace style of fishing as we venture to the many ship wrecks offshore of Virginia dropping down to the bottom in search of Black Sea Bass, one of the best eating fish in the ocean. With limits of 15 fish per person this is a great way to fill the freezer with lots of meat! During the summer months we may also encounter Flounder

I am 33 years old and a lifelong fisherman acquiring my USCG 100 ton masters captains license at the age of 20. I have extensive knowledge of the Chesapeake Bay and coast of Virginia Beach. I have a great amount of experience and I am considered one of the best fisherman in my area, I grew up working on local commercial and charter fishing boats and have been in the industry since I was 15 years old. I am the owner/ operator of Sea Mee Charters. I am considered to be laid back, easy going and well mannered. I always put my customers first and I’m accommodating to everyone’s request assuring that you have the best time possible! I have won multiple tournaments in the coarse of my career and always assure to give it my very best day in and day out.
