I’m a longtime angler who lived in this area for 20 years ago. Chris and I talked and we knew the fishing was going to be difficult because of the weather fronts, it is the fall to winter transition period for redfish, snook and, the super low tides. Capt. Chris still found us some nice redfish that finally got less finicky and hungry enough to bite. Started the day with some nice sea trout fishing with numerous good fish and one 18” monster ( I know it’s not the old days when that was just average size , but everything changes and you have to roll with it) and pulling drag is always good. Then we went chasing the reds.. found a few small one’s (rats) willing to eat before the tide changed and then hooked a real nice one with a great fight and many good runs. Chris has an awesome boat, great handling skills, a wonderful personality, and top quality , well maintained gear. He worked very hard to find the biting fish and we had the bonus of watching a pair of eagles feeding, osprey’s fishing, pelicans crashing bait, egrets and spoonbills working the grass flat as the tide rose. I would recommend Chris for your any of your inshore/nearshore trips in the Clearwater area! He is patient, kinnd, very knowledgeable and passionate about putting you on tge fish, sharing his knowledge and conserving the resources we have so they are available for our future generations to enjoy!

Cpt. Chris knows his fishing. It’s nice to have a Captain that knows how to put you on fish and give proper instructions on how to fish. He was great with my eight year old daughter. We landed seven really nice red drum in the first hour and stayed on fish all day. His first mate is young but eager to learn the ropes. It’s nice to see someone so young that works hard and has such Enthusiasm. Cpt. Chris’s boat is exceptional for inshore fishing. He catches all the bait fresh just prior to the trip and is not shy about changing it out. If you want to catch fish and have a good time. This is the Captain for you. I will definitely book again with him.

Captain Chris was fantastic to work with. My nine year old is a fishing enthusiast. The one thing he wanted to do on our Florida vacation was fish in the ocean. We previously booked another charter that didn't work out, but I am so glad it didn't. Chris was able to book us last minute, and we got to go on a evening charter out of the hot sun and my son caught 10 fish. Captain Chris was so patience with his 100s of questions and his enthusiasm to be a part of each process. I have already recommended him to a few friends who are also going to the area in the next year and would like to book a charter. He is great with kids and was so kind to my family. Definitely put him on your list if you want a great fishing experience!

I reached out to Capt. Chris on short notice after some other plans fell through because I just wanted to get my kids on some fish. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much going out mid-day in the middle of summer, but we absolutely crushed it. The kids were reeling in fish nonstop and having the time of their lives. Chris worked hard the entire trip, but you could tell he was having just as much fun as we were. By the end, we had caught over 60 fish—including 52 redfish! Highly recommend Capt. Chris.
