Based out of Harrison, Smith Fishing Adventures LLC is your ticket to a memorable time on the water.

Capt. Gregory aims to tailor every trip to your specific needs, so let him know what you’re after! Depending on the trip and species, you’ll be using techniques like light tackle, heavy tackle, trolling, big game fishing, drift fishing, jigging, popping, and spinning. You’re looking at 5 to 7-hour trips, where you’ll usually go after the likes of Catfish, Crappie, Freshwater Drum, and Bass, depending on the weather and time of year.

Your boat for the day will be a 17’ 1754 Grizzly Tracker that fits up to 2 anglers at any one time. The boat comes with an ice box and a wireless trolling motor.

When it comes to rods, reels, and terminal tackle, everything you need is included in the price.

Please make sure to buy a valid fishing license ahead of time.

You’re welcome to keep all legal species caught during the trip.

The price of your trip also includes complimentary drinks, but you’re welcome to bring your own. Please let the captain know if you have any questions or special requests.

This is a children-friendly charter, so you’re welcome to bring your kids on for a fun fishing adventure.

    Although other species are often taken, this trip targets principally crappie and is only available from November through March. Mornings may be chilly but the fish are biting this time of year! Fishing techniques include live and artificial bait trolling, spider rigging, casting, and jigging.

    This charter leaves the Harrison Bay State Park boat ramp at 8:00 and returns at 12:00 (noon). The primary target species are trophy White and Black Crappie although other species including Bass, Drum, and Catfish will most likely be caught. This trip is available Monday through Friday throughout the year, weather permitting, and leaves from Harrison Bay State Park.

    This charter leaves the Harrison Bay State Park Boat ramp at 8:00 a.m. and returns at 2:00 p.m. The primary target species are Black and White Crappie, Bass, and Catfish. The trip is identical to the shorter trip but offers more time to catch fish and greater opportunities to explore different strategies and bait presentations.

    This trip departs from Charleston (TN) boat Ramp at 08:00 and returns at 13:00. The target species is Striped Bass but Largemouth and Spotted Bass might be taken as well. The fishing tec lhnique includes trolling live bait with planer boards and is effective at taking Stripers as they move upstream during late spring/early summer from Lake Chickamauga to seek cooler waters in the upper river.

It was a strange day today. The fish were hitting light and short. We lost as many as we caught but did land about 15 crappie and about as many yellow bass. We kept 10 of the largest crappie.
