I am a native guide, born and raised in Key West. My uncle started charter fishing in 1945 and he helped to bring a lot of our family members into the industry. In the 80's through present day, I have had my two brothers, four cousins and my uncle all working in the charter industry. Now my two sons have also become two of the best flats guides in the Lower Keys. We have always viewed fishing and guiding as our passion, not just a job.

Put me on the fish, gave advice when needed, and I caught the fish I went for.

We had some chances at our target species but our casting needed improvement. Capt Mike was wise enough to know it was time for us to get some fish in the boat and we had fun with multiple species. We also took a run to find some bone fish but no luck. I think it was a good trip based on time of year and temperature.
