Fishing with Baja Azul runs angling trips out of La Paz and offers to show you what the local fishery is all about.
Capt. Ivan aims to tailor every trip to your specific needs, so let him know what you’re after! Depending on the trip and species, you’ll be using techniques like bottom fishing, trolling, jigging, popping, and spinning. You’re looking at 6 to 8-hour trips, where you’ll usually go after the likes of Mahi Mahi, Marlin, Yellowtail Amberjack, Wahoo, Sailfish, Roosterfish, depending on the weather and time of year.
You’ll be fishing from a 23’ L-Diaz boat with enough room for up to 4 anglers at any single time. When it comes to rods, reels, and terminal tackle, everything you need is included in the price. Please keep in mind you’ll need to get a fishing license before the start of the trip.
You’ll be able to keep any legal species caught during the trip. There will be a first mate on board to help you with anything you need. Tips for good service are always appreciated. There will be complimentary snacks and drinks aboard for your convenience during the trip, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer.
