Nauti Hooker Charters – St Michaels, MD
Schedule a trip with Nauti Hooker Charters and visit historical St. Michaels, Maryland all on the same day! You’ll explore secret fishing spots on the Chesapeake Bay. Captain Richard Phippin has been fishing in the area since a young age and he’s the founder of this family-business charter. He offers trips year-round and he always follows the fish to ensure you have the best possible chance for a productive and enjoyable trip.
Your adventure starts on a 25’ Maycraft saltwater fishing boat. She’s powered by a 300 HP Suzuki engine and can carry up to 4 guests. Apart from an enclosed hardtop cabin, she also features canvas enclosures to protect you from cold and wind. There’s also a private porta potty you can use and a livewell for keeping live bait.
Every season has something different to offer! In the spring and fall, you can go chase Striped Bass (Rockfish), while the summer brings out Bluefish and Spanish Mackerel. All these species are fast and like to chase the bait. Light tackle and jigging with lures are a great choice in case you encounter big schools of fish. You can also catch Flounder, Trout, and White Perch.
Capt. Richie keeps his boat close to the hottest fishing grounds around, allowing for quick reach and a longer time to fish. The area offers plenty of public access points to start your trip from.
The crew will supply you with all the rods, reels, tackle, and fishing licenses, so you should just bring any snacks and drinks you like. Also, make sure to have warm jackets and rainwear with you. Capt. Richie promotes catch and release but also believes in harvesting some for the dinner table.
No matter if you’re a beginner or a seasoned angler, you’re bound to have a memorable time with Nauti Hooker Charters!
