Based out of Grande Riviere Noire, Papa Casalo is your ticket to a memorable time out on the water while in Mauritius. Captain Frederic’s main priority is to get you on some fish and ensure you have fun while angling! Kids are welcome, so take them on your Mauritius fishing adventure, too.

You’ll practice bottom fishing, trolling, jigging, popping, or spinning while hunting for Tuna, Marlin, Sailfish, Barracuda, or Bonito.

The catch will be shared with the crew following the trip. Please get in touch with the captain if you have any additional questions regarding the catch.

You’ll be fishing from a 28’ boat with enough room for up to 9 anglers, an ice box, and a fighting chair. All the necessary fishing gear is included in the price of your trip. No need to worry about your fishing license either, as it will be provided by the charter operator, too.

The price of your trip also includes complimentary snacks and drinks, but you’re welcome to bring your own. Please let the captain know if you have further questions or special requests.

    You'll meet the captain at 05:50 for a briefing session. Your journey will start around 06:10. On the way out, you'll first prepare the wafers and bait, and then enjoy a light breakfast with tea or coffee. As soon as you reach the ideal spot, you can start fishing. Note that you can bring your own equipment if you want. If instead, you decide to use Papa Casalo's equipment, you'll be given 2 baits only. An additional fee of Rs100/bait will be charged if the bait is damaged/broken.

Your journey will start at 12:30 p.m. On the way out, you'll first prepare the wafers and bait, and then enjoy a light snack with tea or coffee. As soon as you reach the ideal spot, you can start fishing. Note that you can bring your own equipment if you want. If you instead decide to use Papa Casalo's equipment, you'll be given 2 baits only. An additional fee of $100 per bait will be charged if the bait is damaged/broken.
