The SC River Guide

Running angling trips out of Columbia, The SC River Guide invites you to check out the local fishery in style. Captain Justin will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. He’s great with kids, so don’t forget to take your little ones on this journey, too!

He specializes in light tackle and fly fishing while fighting against Bass. Your main rivals will be Smallmouth and Spotted Bass. Luckily, his 16’ Custom boat is perfect for quiet hunts. It can fit up to 2 anglers.

All rods, reels, and tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters – fishing. You’ll also find free drinks on the boat for your convenience, but you’re always welcome to pack your own drinks and snacks should you want to.

Fishing licenses aren’t included, so make sure to get them prior to the trip. Bait isn’t included either, so make sure to check with the captain about what your options are before the trip.

The SC River Guide offers only catch and release trips, so any fish you catch will be returned to the water.

I'm native to Columbia SC and was born to a fishing family. My father raised me on the rivers in Columbia SC. Little did I know he was giving me the tools to become a professional guide. I love being able to share a unique fishing experience with people that they can’t experience with anyone else.
