If you’re ready to love fishing in Placida, look no further than Reelshark Charters.
Depending on the season, you might hook into Tarpon, Bull Shark, Hammerhead Shark, Blacktip Shark, Snook, Spotted Seatrout, Redfish, Tripletail, Permit, Ladyfish, Cobia, Great Barracuda, and anything else that bites. On these trips, you can expect to troll using light or heavy tackle. Any fish within the legal limit are yours to keep. Capt. Mike can even clean your catch for you. Bring a cooler ready in the car!
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!
Capt. Mike operates a 23’ Dorado center console that holds up to 5 passengers. It comes with a fighting chair and all the essentials. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it ahead of time so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. It’s customary to tip the Mate 10%–20% at the end of the day to show your appreciation.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
Don’t leave home without bottled water, sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but be sure to let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now’s the time to experience fishing in Placida for yourself, with Reelshark Charters!
As Capt. Mike always says "If it swims - we can catch it".
