Lower Sacramento River fly fishing trips are provided by Taco Fly Fishing Company. With your guide Mario at the helm, you’ll benefit from years of knowledge and expertise!
The stunning scenery includes some spots that only a local can show you. Around here, it’s common to do fly fishing, which is how you’ll get acquainted with these waters. Your guide may have you chasing wild Rainbow Trout from Redding down to Red Bluff on fly rods. During your trip, expect to use indicators, streamers, and dry fly fishing techniques to catch Rainbow Trout.
Fishing on these trips is strictly "catch and release," so any fish you catch will be put back in the water. Your fishing machine will be a 16’ Drift boat with room for 2 passengers. All the necessary fly fishing gear is provided. Mario will have some snacks and drinks for you. Anglers of all ages are welcome on these trips, including kids.
Your fishing license for the day is not included, so members of your group may need to buy one. You can find out more online, including exceptions that may apply. You’re encouraged to dress in layers and the proper footwear. It’s never a bad idea to bring bottled water, sunblock, and sunglasses in any weather conditions.
