Awesome experience!!!! We had a rough start with the weather but the captain communicated well and was able to take us a few hours later. Travis is friendly and knows what he’s doing. I’m thankful for his patience and for taking good care of us. He genuinely loves what he does and cared that we had a fun time. Book this with them… you won’t regret it. We caught a tagged fish and a bull, red drum. Both caught by my children. Most definitely a memorable time. 🐟💕🌊⚓️🛥️

I did a last second booking on Thursday evening for Friday afternoon on Fishing booker to try and bail out what was a terrible fishing trip
for me both on Hatteras and at Cape Lookout (Something I could not have done without this service, so thank you for that) Unfortunatelt the rotten luck continued on this trip and I caight one small drum and a stingray.

Overall review:

On time: Yes, even early
Where: The boat launch under the High Rise bridge between Morehead City and Radio Island (where the pier is)

Boat condition: excellent and clean

Where did we fish: about a mile north of the 101 bridge on the Intracoastal waterway.

Boat ride: bumpy in the mouth of the intracoastal waterway, otherwise pretty fast and smooth. Very nice views.

Bait: netted, in good condition

Rods/Reels/Line: good condition

Captain: great, worked hard, professional, friendly. Very knowledgeable. One of the purposes of this trip was to learn how to fish inland waterways and I learned a lot.

Mate: (not his fault) his last trip was the one immediately before mine. If there was one negative regarding the trip the lack of a mate slowed things down a bit. The captain had to handle everything from positioning to baiting to casting. Even though fishing was slow, this made getting set up and moving slower than what it could have been, which resulted in some lost time. That said, it could not have been done faster with just a single person. Not his fault, but just it was noticeable.

Would I recommend this charter: Yes. Its not catching, its fishing. Even without catching it still was a 4 star experience for me. I cant imagine how great this trip would be had we good luck fishing. Probably 5 star plus.

Had a 4 hour mother/ son trip just off shore on a beautiful sunny day! Travis and Tyler were more than helpful putting us on the fish even when other boats weren’t catching anything. We loved our trip and will definitely be back to do it again with Drum Roll Charters!

My dad and I went on a fishing trip with Travis this morning. He was very knowledgeable with his fish and where to find them. We caught a few different types of fish and were able to see a group of dolphins. Great experience, will do again.

Tyler and his crew were an amazing bunch. They navigated the sound and sandbars with incredible ease and made getting through the surf a breeze. We received a ton of knowledge about the local area and sea life that we encountered. Tyler was an amazing charter guide and the fishing was superb. We would highly recommend him to any friends or family who are looking to go offshore fishing.
