Fear Knot Charters is a state-licensed fishing and sight-seeing charter service leaving out of Dauphin Island Marina. They can also pick up and drop off out of Fort Morgan when needed.
Captain Richard White offers inshore and nearshore charters for a variety of local fish species. He fishes within easy reach of the area’s beautiful sandy beaches and is looking forward to taking you on a trip to remember.
You will be fishing aboard a 22’ Bay Robalo center console, built in 2018. It’s powered by a 200 HP Yamaha engine, with a cruising speed of up to 32 knots, perfect for inshore and nearshore fishing. The boat can comfortably accommodate up to 4 anglers. It has top-of-the-range Garmin electronics, including a GPS, fish finder, sonar, and VHF radio.
Capt. Richard fishes with light tackle, employing a variety of techniques including jigging and popping to attract his target fish. You’ll use Penn and Shimano reels with medium action rods and 10 to 12 lb test line, using braided line when fishing the docks for Redfish.
On trips with Capt. Richard, you could fish the back bays for species such as Speckled Trout, Redfish, Sheepshead, Pompano, and Flounder. You could also go further out to fish the nearshore waters for Spanish and King Mackerel, Tarpon, and Sharks. Just let him know what you want to target before the trip, and he will do everything he can to put you on your target fish.
You’ll get all the tackle, bait, and lures you need for your trip, and the captain will supply fishing licenses for all anglers. He will also clean and fillet any fish you decide to keep at the end of the trip.
Join Fear Knot Charters and prepare for an adventure of a lifetime in these pristine waters!
