Capt. Gerrad aims to tailor every trip to your specific needs, so let him know what you're after! Depending on the trip and species, you'll be using techniques like bottom fishing, trolling, kite fishing, popping, and spinning. You're looking at 10 to 12 hour trips, where you'll usually go after the likes of Mahi Mahi, Marlin, Wahoo, Sailfish, Tuna, and Tilefish, depending on the weather and time of year.
You'll be fishing from a 57' Island Boatworks vessel with enough room for up to 6 anglers at any single time. It also includes a toilet, AC, ice box, and a fighting chair. The crew works very hard to help their guests catch the fish of a lifetime and make the day the most memorable experience possible, so please remember to tip your mate at the end of the trip. It’s customary to tip 15-20%.
The price of your trip includes all the rods, reels, and terminal tackle you'll need for a productive day on the water. Your trip will include all the necessary fishing licenses for the day. You can keep anything you catch, as long as it's legal to do so.
We now are offering WiFi for an additional 150 dollars per group

2025 fishing trip

First time trip for me and man what an awesome experience. Caught our limit on mahi as well as four citation white marlin. I would definitely recommend the citation. Eli was the best mate and on top of it all day. The captain put us in the right spots to catch fish. The boat was well maintained and had everything you would need for a full day of fishing.

Awesome day on the Citation!

Capt. Otto put us on the fish! The Citation was very spacious, clean, well equipped and very comfortable. It had a large bathroom, great A/C, and comfortable seating inside and outside. The boat has tremendous horsepower and got us to the fishing grounds faster than any other boat that went out that day. I got the fish of the lifetime on the trip. Eli, the first mate, worked tireless on our behalf! Thanks again for a great family experience!

Fantastic Day

We had a great time with the Citation Captain and Crew. We were successful in catching more Mahi than we thought possible in one day and we were a group on newbies to charter fishing. We have booked a couple trips with Captain Gerrad on the Citation! Awesome experience! Took us “grocery shopping” to start because we want to bring home something to cook and also took us for the bigger fish experience, all in a day’s trip each time! Gerrad and his Mate Alex are very professional and know what they are doing! The boat is really nice as well! It’s all top notch! Book your trip! You’ll be catching Citations on the Citation! (We did!!) ?

Full Day Trip – Offshore on May 7, 2022
Over the span of almost twenty years, I have been on over a dozen fishing excursions with Gerrod in different capacities and he is as good as it gets. He is very intense and passionate about what he does for a living. He is an absolute professional and master of his craft. He is committed to ensuring that the guests are given the best possible opportunity to catch the most fish. Gerrod will never try and get you to go in early once you have caught your limit on a certain species like other captains I have had. Instead, he will ask you what else you are interested in catching and give you the options. Once it is decided what else you want to pursue he is on the way to make that happen. Times when the targeted species weren’t working out, Gerrod found other ways to give us our moneys worth, from jigging for Amberjack around ship wrecks to kite fishing for Tuna. Gerrod is constantly working from the moment you step foot on the boat until well after you are off of it. On top of being really good at finding fish and setting you up to catch them, he is also very personable. In between bailing Mahi or reeling in Tuna, Gerrod is really easy to talk to and is just a good guy in general. I would recommend Gerrod to anyone and will guarantee that once you fish with him you will never want to fish with anyone else.
