Capt. Mckenzy is family-oriented, young, and energetic. He aims to show you modern, sustainable, and old Hawaiian fishing techniques while you try your luck from shore to catch Bonefish and Bluefin Trevally. During the 3-hour shared excursions, you’ll also be using techniques like bottom fishing, fly fishing, popping, and spinning.
Depending on the time of the year, you might find a large variety of other fish that swim near Hawaii Island’s beautiful coast. This will be your chance to discover the rich culture and connection the ancient Hawaiian people had with the ocean and hopefully catch some dinner along the way!
When it comes to rods, reels, and terminal tackle, everything you need is included in the price. As for fishing licenses, everything will be taken care of by the captain, so you don’t have to worry about it. You’ll be able to keep any legal species caught during the trip.
Children are welcome to fish from the beach too! The best part is that, when fishing from the shore, you don’t need to worry about them getting seasick.
