Morrisons Guide Service is proud to offer fully guided ice fishing trips on Porter Lake in New Vineyard, Maine. We provide a complete fishing experience that will allow you to enjoy one of Maine’s greatest traditions. Our guide service will provide ice augers to drill the holes in the ice. As well as 5 tip-ups or traps for each angler with enough bait for everyone for the whole day.

During the trip we will be targeting Brook Trout, Landlocked Salmon, and Lake Trout. We might also hook on to Chain Pickerel, White Perch, Yellow Perch, and Smallmouth Bass.

We will assist you throughout the day with tips and techniques that will help you have the most success out on the ice. This includes baiting techniques, trap location, water depth, and how deep you’ll want to set your bait. And much more.

    We will meet at the public boat launch on Porter Lake in Strong, ME at 7 am. I will pick your party up on a snowmobile and we will ride out to the shack. We'll get set up and should start seeing the trap flags go up and we will be reeling in some beautiful Maine Trout and Salmon! If you catch any keepers our guide service will be happy to clean and cook them for you on our portable propane grill! Our half-day trips are roughly 4 hours, we'll start pulling traps around noontime.

    We will meet at the public boat launch on Porter Lake in Strong, ME at 7 am. I will pick your party up on a snowmobile and we will ride out to the shack. We will immediately start drilling holes and setting traps (5 per person), and then we can get warm in the shack. Then we should start seeing the trap flags go up and we will be reeling in some beautiful Trout and Salmon! If you catch any keepers our guide service will be happy to clean and cook them for you on our portable propane grill!

When the captain confirms your trip, FishingBooker charges your credit card a 20% deposit to guarantee your reservation.

The remaining balance is to be paid directly to the charter operator on or prior to your trip date in one of the following payment methods:
