Salt Of The Earth Sportfishing runs angling trips out of Westport and offers to show you what the local fishery is all about.

Capt. Ray is here to get you on some fish, and to make sure you have fun doing it. You’ll be using techniques like bottom fishing, fly fishing, jigging, popping, spinning, and ice fishing upon request and when conditions allow. As part of their 4 to 8-hour trips, you can target species like Striped Bass,  Bluefish, Little Tunny, Weakfish, and Tuna, depending on the current season and weather conditions.

Your fishing adventure starts on a 25’ SeaCraft boat that can safely take up to 6 anglers. This boat features a wireless trolling motor.

When it comes to rods, reels, and terminal tackle, everything you need is included in the price. Your trip will include all the necessary fishing licenses for the day.

You’ll be able to keep any legal species caught during the trip, with some species being strictly catch-and-release.

Children are welcome aboard so you’re good to get the young ones started early.

    Jig and pop for Bluefin and Yellowfin Tuna. We also catch Mahi Mahi when the opportunity arises. We use the finest gear available when fishing for these hard-fighting fish. Fight time can often exceed an hour, so be ready for a battle you will never forget.
