Heaven’s Gate Charters welcomes you to experience the thrill of fishing in Alaska!
Captain Seth strives to create a safe and fun adventure for you and your group. During the 8-hour combo trips, your main targeted species will be halibut. You will also fish for additional species including King Salmon, Silver Salmon, Lingcod, and Rockfish, depending on the season and water conditions. Expect to use techniques like trolling and bottom fishing, and you can choose a shared trip or a private experience for you and your friends.
Your boat for the day, the Dream Catcher II, is equipped with a private lavatory and heated cabin for the comfort of your full-day charter. The captain recommends that you bring covered footwear, warm clothes, and rain gear. There’s plenty of storage on the boat, and you can always take layers off if necessary. Bring with you anything you want to eat or drink for the day and please have a printed and current Alaska fishing license and King Salmon stamp.
Sometimes the wind and ocean conditions prohibit a fun and productive day of fishing in Alaska. In the event that it may be rough on the water, first, the crew will brief you in the morning about what they are seeing/predicting. Second, upon determining it is safe to leave the harbor, the crew will ultimately leave the decision to you whether you feel comfortable enough for the day’s activities. In other words, we won’t make you go fishing in poor conditions if you don’t want to, and you will receive a refund of your deposit.
Having a professional process for your catch is highly recommended. The crew will fillet any fish you bring on the boat and give you your fillets in heavy-duty compactor bags at the end of the day. We will provide you with a list of companies close to the harbor that can vacuum pack, freeze and ship your fish.
Homer sales tax is included in the price of the charter. Book your trip and make incredible memories with Heaven’s Gate Charters!
