Angler IV is The Angler Fleet’s flagship boat. Licensed to carry up to 55 passengers for fishing, this boat makes an excellent function venue or base for a large team building event. This Coast Guard inspected vessel is fitted with twin diesel engines, allowing it to travel quickly to its destination, while using state of the art fish finding technology to help the captain take you to the most effective fishing grounds. The boat features a cozy galley where hot and cold food can be served and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating is available on board. There are two heads (nautical toilets) for the passengers’ comfort. The complete range of Coast Guard approved safety equipment is provided, allowing you to fish free of worries about your own and your children’s safety.
Capt. Ken and his capable team will guide you around the Western Long Island Sound, a tidal estuary of the Atlantic Ocean that has historically had a rich commercial and recreational fishing industry. They will instruct you in bottom fishing techniques, targeting Flounder, Striped Bass, Black Sea Bass, Bluefish, Tautog (Blackfish), Fluke (Summer Flounder) and more. Their season runs from April to December, with Fluke being caught from May onwards. You may also be in with a chance of coming across Sharks, Sea Robins and Lobsters.
All trips with The Angler Fleet come inclusive of rods, reels and terminal tackle, ice and safe dockside parking. It is a family oriented business that welcomes anglers of all levels of ability and particularly welcoming children on board. The excellent crew will always be on hand to explain what you need to do and when you need to do it, providing fish filleting services at the end of the trip if desired.
