Spend the day with Castaway Custom Charters and let them show you what makes the fishing in Summerland Key so memorable! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Joel can tell you all about the local fishery.
These waters are known for Great Barracuda, Black Grouper, Snowy Grouper, African Pompano Jack, Sailfish, Lane Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Mutton Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Tilefish, Blackfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi and more – with any luck, they’ll make your reel scream.
During the trip you might be spinning, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. For the more adventurous among you, there’s spearfishing.
You’re free to take home any fish you catch within size and bag limits. Capt. Joel can even clean your catch for you. Now that’s dinner!
Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Have in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Also remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!
You can’t go wrong when you bring bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Capt. Joel will have some drinks available for you.
Now, come aboard with Castaway Custom Charters and get hooked!
