Peninsula Charters is running fishing trips out of Ucluelet, British Columbia.

Capt. Dean is here to get you on some fish, and to make sure you have fun doing it. You’ll be using techniques like trolling and jigging, depending on what you’re going after. As part of his 4 to 8-hour trips, you can target species like Halibut, Salmon, Lingcod and Rockfish depending on the current season and weather conditions.

Your adventure begins on board a Grady White Gulfstream that can fit a maximum of 4 anglers. The boat is fitted with a portable toilet and an ice box.

The price of your trip includes all the rods, reels, and tackle you’ll need for a productive day on the water. Please make sure to buy a valid fishing license ahead of time.

You’re welcome to keep all legal species caught during the trip.

Captain Dean is a Fish Catching Machine!

Half Day Trip Morning on July 7, 2025 • 1 adult • 1 child

My 7year old son and I went out for a four hour trip with Captain Dean. Everything had been considered and we were fishing soon after pushing off. The bite was slow to start but Dean changed gear, depths and speed until we were on the fish. There was no stoping us from there. We caught our limit trolling for salmon and took a short cruise to do some jigging. We quickly hit our limit of sea bass and even had a few bonus fish. Dean was focused on ensuring we had a great time and made it a trip to remember for both my son and I. He shared his local knowledge and made sure we got to see some sea lions too. We won’t hesitate to use Peninsula Charters the next time we are in town. Thanks Dean!

Trip of a Lifetime

Had this fishing trip on my bucket list for a very long time. WOW! Captain Dean hit it out of the park. Dean knew the perfect spots and very knowledgeable and experienced. Had our first Salmon on in less than a minute and then they kept coming, Salmon, lingcod, and even rockfish and cabezon. Amazing charter, boat and gear was perfect. Highly recommend Peninsula Charters with Captain Dean in Ucluelet. Absolutely amazing. Thank you Dean for a trip of a lifetime, hope to be back soon!

3/4 Day Trip Morning on July 2, 2025 • 4 adults

There are never guarantees when fishing and weather was not planning to cooperate. We booked for halibut but nasty wind prevented us going out so we had to switch to salmon inside. He got us some real solid kings (chinook), then we took a shot for lings. Ended up catching four great lings, another salmon plus a halibut! Even with the pivot due to weather, we ended up with a great haul. Total processed fish for the four of us was net 87lbs.

Great guide for kids

Dean is a great local guy! Happy and welcoming. Adjusted the trip according to my kids needs. He know where and how to find fish! Would love to come back here for more salmon with Dean. Awesome Fishing Trip!!!
