Barefoot Charters is located in South Ft Myers /Ft Myers Beach/ Sanibel / Captiva and offers to show you a memorable time in these waters.
Capt. Joseph aims to tailor every trip to your specific needs, so let him know what you’re after! Depending on the trip and species, you’ll be using techniques like bottom fishing, drift fishing, popping, and spinning. You’re looking at 4 to 8-hour trips, where you’ll usually go after the likes of Redfish, Cobia, Grouper, Jack Crevalle, Shark, and Tripletail, depending on the weather and time of year.
Your adventure begins on board a 23’ Parker boat that can fit a maximum of 6 anglers.
All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing. The captain will supply all the needed fishing licenses for your trip. You’ll be able to keep any legal species caught during the trip.

Half Day 4 hrs Inshore Morning
Dinner and a show!
Our family of 6 booked a half-day charter with Captain Joe during our week at Sanibel. As soon as we completed the reservation on fishing booker, Captain Joe was calling us on the phone. He was enthusiastic and ready to go! He made it very clear how and where to meet. We arrived a little early but he welcomed us right away. Brimming with personality and authentic Florida vibes. He knew where to take us, what to throw, and how to get the fish in the boat. And get them in we did! We (mostly our kids) brought home plenty of fish for us to all have for dinner that night. Throughout the whole trip, Captain Joe had plenty of jokes and stories to fill up the time. He even sent us home with a recipe and his own special spice blend for cooking the fish that night. And it was DELICIOUS! Everyone was thoroughly entertained and satisfied at the end of our trip. Our 2 boys said it was the highlight of their week. We come to Sanibel every year, and as long as Captain Joe is still taking charters out on his boat, he just might see us again!

Highly recommend Joe!
Book a 4-Hour trip with Joe on a weekend, brought my elderly father and my seven-year-old daughter and wife, Joe was on time, had everything prepared, and was ready for shove off as soon as we arrived. Joe is a conscientious captain, navigated very well to keep the ride as calm as possible even in busy waters. Joe knew a lot of good spots, we did move three times before we found fish, but Joe found fish when no one else around us did. Joe kept us all entertained, even taught the seven-year-old how to cast, which she ended up pulling in the biggest fish. I recommend Joe and we'll book again.

Great time with our 3 yr old!
We have a great time with Captain Joe! He was very helpful, friendly & patient with my 3 year old who just needed to touch everything on the boat and explore. We caught a few fish, saw manatees, turtles, even spotted a dolphin while heading to another spot! My son absolutely loved it and so did we! I will definitely be booking again in the future! Thanks so much for a great day on the water!

Captain Joe was the best!!
We had so much fun with Captain Joe on the fishing boat. He was very sweet and patient with our kids, guided them on proper fishing methods, and was encouraging. He took us to his favorite fishing spots and my son caught a fish! My daughter also almost caught one but she lost it before we could pull the reel up. We would definitely do this with Captain Joe again!

Great Experience
Captain Joe met all our requirements and then some. It was a family trip that involved fishing, which we caught 5 different species. Also went looking for shells and saw a manatee and a sea turtle. Captain Joe kept us entertained during the whole trip. We didn’t want it to end. Thanks again for the great experience out on the water.
