My son (13) and I had an amazing experience with Capt. Kelly! We were able to boat some large reds, multiple local fish from the flats, and my son ended the trip by catching an amazing shark. He loved the thrill of catching the shark on a small action rod! We were able to see some deep parts of the flats and Capt. Kelly was very knowledgable of local history and the lowcountry ecosystem. There was definitely fishing, but I enjoyed learning more about this area of South Carolina. I definitely plan on booking Capt. Kelly again on our next family trip. I highly recommend Boogie Man Fishing Charters!

Enjoyed our experience with The Boogyman. He called us before the trip to make sure we knew where to go and answe any questions we had. When we arrived, which was early, he was already docked and ready. His boat was spotless, rods ready and we had bait. Every place we fished, as he was anchoring, he told us which rods to use, what bait to hook and where to throw. As a captain myself, I appreciated that because every spot takes a different technique and approach. We caught fish at EVERY spot we targeted. Docks, ditch mouths, creek turns, and structured area. As two captains venturing into unchartered waters, it was an amazing learning experience as well. I definitely picked up a few tricks I plan to use back home. Hope to go again soon with the Boogyman.

Captain Patrick knew how to get us onto the fish. I have been on other fishing charters before and almost every time the boat needed to catch bait prior to heading out. Not this time. The captain came prepared to put us on the fish. We caught our limit of Red fish within the first hour. We spent the balance of the day catching sea trout and flounder. He was very personable and in tune with everything Beaufort had to offer.
We had a great time.

Brought my 13 and 16yr olds out with Captain Patrick today hoping to get them on some reds, and they did. My daughter started out strong smoking us with 10 reds early on, then my son got into some puppy reds. Ventured around to try different spots and got into a few sheepshead and then found another hole holding reds for the kids. They had a blast. The captain was super helpful and patient with the kids. I of course caught the biggest reds of the day, sorry kids. 😁 All together a great time, great fishing, great conversation with Captain Patrick. He knows what he’s doing and we got the fish pics to prove it. Definitely recommend Captain to anyone looking for a good day on the water.

We had a fantastic fishing trip with Patrick! He is everything you could hope for in a fishing guide—competent, knowledgeable, prepared, and friendly. He was waiting for us early at the boat ramp—with everything we needed to begin fishing—multiple types of live bait and poles ready to go. We were fishing within 15 minutes of leaving the ramp, and had limited out on reds within the first hour. The rest of our day was productive and full of “catching.” It was obvious to us—Patrick knows the best spots for the conditions. My husband mentioned several times on the way home, “We will definitely use him when we come down here.”

This was my son’s favorite charter trip he’s ever taken. Patrick is great with kids and helped him get his first sheepshead.

I think the best compliment you can give someone is repeat business, and we will definitely use Boogie Man Charters in the future. Our day with Patrick was definitely the highlight of our trip to South Carolina!
