These waters are home to Tarpon, Snook, Jack Crevalle, Great Barracuda, Ladyfish and more. You can expect to do some spinning or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Luis also offers fly fishing trips. During your adventure, you'll enjoy the amazing scenery in Laguna Torrecilla, one of the most complex ecosystems in the area.
You'll be casting lines from a 22' Boston Whaler with a capacity for 6 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it ahead of time, so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Some species might be protected, so make sure you know what to expect. Keep in mind that Tarpon is catch-and-release only. Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard (up to 7 years old)! It's always wise to bring snacks, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Capt. Luis will have some drinks available for you.

Great Tarpon Fishing Trip

Had a really enjoyable family tarpon trip with Captain Luis. The boat was
comfortable and clean, and all the gear was high quality.
We caught two nice tarpon. One was over 6 feet and took about 3 hours to land. It put up a strong fight, but we got it boatside for quick photos and released it healthy.
Luis was an excellent guide—knowledgeable, patient, and great at spotting fish. Made the day smooth and fun for everyone.
Solid experience all around. Would recommend and fish with him again.

WOW..... Words can not even expreas how great this trip went. Captain Louis was exceptional. From the time we left the dock to the time we landed, the first fish was mayne 30 min. We had snook, tarpon , jack, and lady fish all around us. Captains Louis is extremely knowledgeable, and you can really see that fishing is truly his passion. We hooked into one of the largest snook I personally have ever seen. My wife and I have been on many fishing charters here over the years and have had some success, but Captain Louis was by far the best. If you are looking for a great experience, you will not go wrong with Captain Louis. We will definitely be back. Thank you again, Captain Louis.

There were five of us on the boat. We booked the 6 hour afternoon trip, from noon-6pm. My husband and my brother have always wanted to catch Tarpon so it was definitely a bucket list item. We went 4 for 4 today! He was an amazing guide. Kind of quiet, but it paid off because we caught fish. At the end of our trip, we had a pelican quite close to the boat several times. This allowed us to notice that he had a hook in him. Captain Luis lured him in with a sardine, and with my assistance was able to get the hook out. He was quite injured so he called the rescue to see if they could come out and help. Hands-down 10 out of 10, would highly recommend!!!!

This was our first time to fish in Puerto Rico and we had an amazing morning trip with Capt. Luis!
I have fished with many guides over the years and I can honestly say that Capt. Luis is one of the most friendly and knowledgeable fishermen I've ever fished with!
He put us on some amazing tarpon within minutes of getting on his boat!
We released my personal best tarpon at 70+ pounds and in some of the most scenic area imaginable!
I highly recommend booking a trip with Capt. Luis if you're ever in the area. You will not be disappointed!
