Come join Captain Jay on the Detroit river to experience walleye fishing at its finest.
Running angling trips out of Wyandotte, The Fish Fly Charters invites you to check out the local fishery in style.
Capt. Jason is here to get you on some fish, and to make sure you have fun doing it. You’ll be using techniques like bottom fishing and jigging, depending on what you’re going after. This is a hands-on experience. You will be in control of your own fishing pole as we will be doing vertical jigging.
As part of their 5-hour trips, you can target species like Walleye, Perch, and Bass, depending on the current season and weather conditions. The month of April is the best time of year to catch walleye as they enter the river to spawn. The average fish is 19” but for walleye up to 30” is common.
You’ll be fishing from an 18’ Blue Fin boat with enough room for up to 3 anglers at any single time. All the necessary fishing gear is included in the price of your trip. All that’s up to you is to use it as best you can.
Please make sure to buy a valid fishing license ahead of time.
You’ll be able to keep any legal species caught during the trip.
This is a child-friendly charter, so you’re welcome to bring your kids on for a fun fishing adventure.
