Wild Red Charters operates out of beautiful Orange Beach, Alabama, launching from the newly built ICW facility. Captain Josh, a USCG-licensed captain, has spent years learning the local waters to put his guests on fish year-round while providing a fun, safe, and memorable experience on the water.
You'll be fishing aboard a spacious 24' Blazer bay boat (2021), powered by a 300HP Suzuki, with room for up to 4 anglers. The boat is fully equipped with quality rods, reels, tackle, and lures to ensure a productive day on the water. Live bait may also be available depending on the trip.
The waters around Orange Beach offer excellent fishing opportunities throughout the year, with common catches including Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Black Drum, Sheepshead, Pompano, Mangrove Snapper, and more depending on the season. Trips may include techniques such as spinning, trolling, or bottom fishing based on conditions and target species.
Wild Red Charters is family-friendly and kids are welcome aboard. Fishing licenses are included for all anglers, and Captain Josh will gladly clean and prepare any fish you choose to keep at the end of the trip.
Guests are welcome to bring snacks and drinks, there's a separate cooler onboard, and bottled water is provided. It's recommended to wear closed-toe shoes and bring sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, and sunglasses for comfort. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but please avoid hard liquor and glass bottles. Tips of 15–20% are customary and always appreciated.

We had an absolutely outstanding experience with this inshore fishing charter—easily a 5-star trip from start to finish. The captain was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about what he does. He knew exactly where to go and kept us on the fish the entire time, making it perfect whether you’re experienced or brand new to fishing. The boat was clean, well-maintained, and fully equipped with everything we needed. We caught a great variety of fish and had a blast doing it. What really stood out was how much effort the captain put into making sure everyone was comfortable, learning, and actually enjoying themselves—not just fishing, but the whole experience. If you’re looking for a fun, relaxing, and successful day on the water, this is the charter to book. We’ll definitely be back!
Captain Josh was great! He was in touch with us prior to the fishing trip to make sure he was prepared. We visited several spots and pulled in a lot of fish, including a very large black drum. Captain Josh was great about keeping our lines in the water as much as possible by constantly replenishing our bait. We will definitely e using his services the next time we are in town.
Captain Josh was wonderful. He was incredibly patient with our 8 and 10 year old boys. Helped them bait and cast. He was very pleasant and fun to chit chat with. We caught three large drums that he filleted for us and gave us a list of restraunts that would cook them for us. We had a great time and would 100% go fishing with Captain Josh again.
We had a great time with Wild Red Charters! Captain Josh was laid-back, knowledgeable, and great to talk with throughout the trip. He took us to several spots, and while we didn’t reel in any giants—likely due to the heat—we still managed to catch fish and enjoy the experience. What made it extra special was watching my son catch fish for the first time. He had an amazing time and hasn’t stopped talking about it since. Definitely a memorable outing. Thanks, Captain Josh!
Had a great trip considering temperatures were in the 50s with strong winds. Caught some drum, whitings and catfish. Josh the captain was excellent! Trip is great for all folks
