Some species you can catch include Flounder, Striped Bass, Black Seabass, Bluefin and Yellowfin Tuna, Sharks, and more. Reel Altercation Sport Fishing primarily focuses on bottom fishing for New Jersey Flounder. The style the captain prefers is jigging artificial bottom structure for the giant Fluke!

Your boat for the day will be a 25’ Sea Hunt, recently refurbished in 2023 with the best electronics on the market. The boat is powered by twin Yamaha engines that will quickly get us to the grounds!

You can bring home the fish you catch within size and bag limits. Capt. Rob can even clean your catch for you. You’ll find brand new rods, reels and tackle waiting for you.

There’s no need to buy a fishing license! All you have to do is show up ready for a good time. Reel Altercation Sport Fishing is a kid-friendly charter service, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Bringing sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, snacks, and drinks is always a good idea. NO BANANAS!

Great time and great crew

We went out with Captain Rob knowing what the fishing report probably wasn't the best and still managed to catch our limits on the fish we were targeting, Captain Rob is a great time and a wealth of knowledge when it comes to knowing where and when the fish are going to bite. If you are going to go in with anyone you definitely should go with him!

Wonderful trip with Captain Rob

5 Hour Trip – Flounder AM (4 MAX) on May 27, 2023 • 4 adults

We had a wonderful fishing trip with Captain Rob over Memorial Day weekend. Before the trip Rob was very communicative and responsive. We were going for sea bass and within a few minutes Rob had us on the fish pretty much all day. We probably caught about 60 fish all day amongst the four of us including 18 keepers. Also caught a few flounder, sand sharks and even a ray. Rob was great about making sure our rods were baited at all times. Highly recommend.

Excellent trip!

6 Hour Shark trip on July 8, 2024 • 4 adults

Rob was an excellent captain. He kept in touch leading up to the trip and kept us abreast of any changes to the schedule. We fished for tuna and shark and had a great time. Caught one tuna and hooked a few sharks including a tagged one! Would definitely recommend his services for other anglers.

EXCELLENT FISHING DAY!

4 Hour Trip – Clamming/Crabbing on May 21, 2023

Rob is very responsive and kept us updated of conditions and what to expect. He is a great communicator. We took a four-hour trip and we caught 12 crabs and 4 flounder. Rob was amazing. He knew exactly where to go to have the best chance of catching fish. He cleaned and filleted the fish. I highly recommend him!
