From booking our fishing trip to getting us back to the dock, this trip was perfect.  The captain communicated with me from the minute I booked.  He explained how to get my fishing licenses and how to pay the balance.  The water was definitely not easy to handle so I highly recommend taking Dramamine or something similar.  Once we got out we stopped at two places where there were no fish.  However, once we went a little further it was non stop catching!  We were surrounded by schools of dolphins, which was like something out of a movie.  The cooler was fully stocked with sodas and beers.  We really had the best time!

Gio and Roy were great.  We immediately hooked up to a couple of fish including a good size tuna.  I requested that we chase sailfish which they accommodated.  There certainly aren’t any assurances when it comes to chasing down a gamefish but they made it happen. As the day closed, a sailfish hit the line and we landed it.  Overall, a great day. Another thing to add is tipping.  This is how Captains and Deck hands make extra money to support their families.  They work hard for you and while you won’t always catch fish, all they can give you is a chance. If they do that, then they deserve the tip.  If you can’t afford the tip then you shouldn’t be taking the charter.

My wife and I put 13 tuna in the boat (8 in the first 30 minutes). It would have been 15 but two slipped off next to the boat. We are not expert fishermen by any means, but Jillo, Roy, and The Relaxer made us feel otherwise for a day. We were catching tuna with every cast while surrounded by a frenzy of birds and ~200 spinner dolphin for the first hour. The tuna grew less interested by the hour but the dolphin were there for 6 hours straight.

Get your license ahead of time and show up to the dock early to be one of the first boats out. Highly recommend fishing on the first day of your trip so you can enjoy your trophy (eat seafood) throughout your stay.

Cannot recommend the Relaxer enough, it was an extraordinary day.

Our group of 8 had a great time with the Relaxer’s captain and crew. Started the morning catching our bait for the day then headed off to a couple different spots and picked up one Yellowfin tuna, then a nice sailfish that put on a good show for us. After a few minutes of no action kept moving to find fish. Set up near a school of dolphins and picked up a couple more yellows on a triple header. The captain kept the boat on the fish while Sada constantly had fresh bait in the water. The boat was very well kept and operated smoothly. Plenty of great food and beverages were provided. No complaints from anyone in our group of 8 who are all avid boaters and fishermen. We would highly recommend the Relaxer for your next trip.

Capt was great spotting fish and getting the boat in position. Mate Jorge was very busy sharpening hooks, rigging baits and cleaning decks. Baits were changed often when fish weren’t bitting. Boat is comfortable and always kept clean. Ample amount of cold drinks and food on board. Capt and mate speak English well and they are both really nice guys. Early morning saw dolphin and birds busting bait with tuna below. Jorge and the capt did everything to get hooked up to no avail. Big marling baits went back on and within a half an hour, we hooked into our first sailfish. Landed and released a nice fish of 120lbs. Half hour later hooked our second sailfish just a little bit smaller. Landed and released after exciting runs and jumps. Great action all day long. Finished the day with a double header on Mahi Mahi. Big bull and female approx 38 and 33 lbs. great fight and fresh fish for the table. Big thank you to the crew of the Rellaxer for the best day of off shore fishing!
