New Zealand Fishing Safaris offers Private Charters or Public (join a group) Trips departing Z Pier, Westhaven Marina, Central Auckland aboard MV Mantaray, a 34 ft fast aluminium boat, in Maritime NZ Survey for up to 15 passengers plus crew.

Powered by a 375 caterpillar engine, this boat takes you to the fishing spots effortlessly.  Skippered by one of Auckland’s top Fishing Guides, this very popular boat runs Individuals trips twice daily (subject to numbers) offering a 6 hour or 4 hour trip.

Snapper is your main target fish species, along with Gurnard, Trevally, Tarakihi, Kawahai, and John Dory.

Enjoy the spectacular views of the Auckland Harbour Bridge and Auckland City as you depart the Marina, passing the city sights - Auckland Naval Base, Auckland’s Sky Tower, Auckland Museum and the many extinct volcanoes that line the Auckland skyline.  Travel past Rangitoto Island and pass the many other beautiful islands which dot the Harbour and Inner Hauraki Gulf.

Have a chance of seeing the friendly and stunning dolphins swimming alongside your boat.  Numerous photo opportunities!!

Get together a group of friends and take this boat as a Private Charter where you can tailor a fun trip with our help.  Have a fish, moor in a quiet bay and have a swim.  Our boats are fully licenced so you have the option of ordering an alcohol package.  Enjoy a cool beer, wine or bubbly to enhance your special day.  (No bottled spirits).  Use our on-board barbecue or we can cater for you.
