Tagged Fish Charters
Ready to cast a line in Highlands? Make it happen with Tagged Fish Charters!
Depending on the season, you may target various species, including Flounder, Shark, Tuna, Tautog, and many more. Right now is Striped Bass season, and Capt. Chad is offering 6-hour trips that target this absolutely delicious fish. They start the Striper season in late March or early April and fish for them through late June. Then begin fishing the fall Striped Bass run when it starts again in October. Expect to jig, clam, live line, chunk, or troll to put the best possible catch on ice!
Kids are welcome on board, so feel free to make it a family adventure. Don’t forget your snacks, drinks, sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor and glass bottles. The Tagged Fish has an NJ fillet permit that enables them to legally clean your catch before returning to the dock so you are not waiting at the end of the day.
You’ll be casting lines from a 50’ Downeast with a capacity for 15 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without, plus a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 20% tip is customary. The charter boat covers your fishing license for the day. Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.
And that’s it! Your fishing trip with Tagged Fish Charters is just a click away.
