Ready to cast a line in Henderson? Then Hit and Run Fishing Charters has a trip with your name on it! Your guide for the day is Captain Matthew, which means you’ll tap into years of sportfishing experience.
Depending on conditions, you might hook into Chinook Salmon, Walleye, Lake Trout, Northern Pike, Brown Trout, Smallmouth Bass, and anything else that bites. You’ll target your catch by spinning, trolling, drifting, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
The fish caught are yours to take with you, provided they’re within size and bag limits. Plus, you can have your catch cleaned. Talk about bang for your buck!
Capt. Matthew is happy to have kids aboard, so bring ‘em aboard and get the kids hooked while they’re young! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!
You’ll be welcome aboard a 26’ Shamrock cuddy cabin with room for 4 passengers. It has downriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. Matthew has rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
You might need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don’t forget to bring sunblock (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask.
