If you’re in the market for a day to remember, look no further than Shields Charter Service. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Jason can tell you all about them.
Depending on the season, you might hook into Jack Crevalle, Sheepshead, Redfish, Spanish Mackerel, Red Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Cobia, Speckled Trout, Gray Triggerfish, Vermilion Snapper, Blacktip Shark, King Mackerel, and who knows what else!
On the day of your trip, you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Feel free to keep any fish you catch, so long as it’s legal.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. Snacks are also a good idea so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!
You’ll be welcome aboard a 24’ Kenner center console with space for 6 passengers. It has all the essentials. Capt. Jason has rods and reels for you. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Have in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.
Don’t leave home without sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen (non-spray). Bottled water is included, free of charge.
You could keep reading this, but wouldn’t you rather be fishing with Shields Charter Service?
