LEAHKLEA Sportfishing is located in Los Angeles in San Pedro waters minutes away from the open ocean so you won’t spend too much time in the harbor. A 100 Ton USCG captain and CPR-certified. Capt. Roger has 32 years of experience, so you will definitely go home with fish guaranteed. He will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. This involves 4 to 12-hour trips, mainly fishing for Yellowtail, Halibut, Tuna, California Sheephead, Mahi Mahi, Barracuda, Calico Bass, Rockfish, and Red Snapper, depending on the season and conditions on the day. On these trips, you can expect to use techniques such as light tackle, heavy tackle, bottom fishing, big game fishing, and jigging.
Your fishing adventure starts on a 34ft Albin custom boat that can safely take up to 6 anglers to the island and up to 6 anglers to the local waters. This boat comes with a full bathroom and shower. and an ice-box.
The boat provides Shimano Baitrunner spinners for beginners and also has conventional reels for heavy game. We do have 2 electrical reels on board for deep drops when the captain decides they should be used. We also provide all hooks, weights, and bait. You can bring your own fishing poles if you like. If you are 16 and older, please make sure to bring a valid fishing license ahead of time. The crew will clean and fillet your catch for you to take home at the end of the trip. Before you depart, just pack some food and drinks, and don’t forget your sunscreen and fishing licenses. Open Party Lobster Trip
Even though it wasn't the best weather, we still went out with Captain Roger on the hunt for some lobsters. We battled the harbor with sideways rain, white caps, and wind but Captain Roger put us on the bugs! It was a thrilling experience. I can't wait to go back and do it again! Thanks again Captain Roger for keeping us safe and giving us an amazing time on the water.

What a great experience! First time that my friends and I reserved a private charter. Let me tell you, we made the right decision! Captain Roger is so knowledgeable of the waters he put us directly on the fish after getting the live bait. Captain Roger and his deck hand are super awesome…felt like we had known these guys forever. From now on private charter is the way to go for us and with Captain Roger is the only way. Better book your dates before we take them all haha.

I had quite a few questions before booking, and Roger took the time to guide me through everything with patience and professionalism. He explained what to expect, how the charter would run, and made sure I was completely comfortable before locking it in. Hands down, the easiest and smoothest booking process I’ve ever had with any charter. And once we got out on the water? WOW. Roger absolutely delivered. He took us to some incredible fishing spots, and I mean it when I say — there wasn’t a single dull moment. It was action-packed from start to finish. Catalina trip with Captain Roger
Amazing trip! You can really tell the captain and deckhand (Zach) really love their job! Gave us great advice and helpful tips during the trip and we were able to catch over 30 fish within couple hours. You can really tell the father-son duo love what they do. Captain knew great fishing spots unlike other captains I’ve been with. Awesome experience and great customer service. Highly recommend-5 star

My husband and I have been fishing for entire marriage but my nephew and his wife wanted to take their 5 and 7 year old who had never been. The captain and deck hand were so patient with the kids, baiting their hooks constantly and letting them reel in fish rhey hooked themselves. The weather was perfect. What a memorable day.
