Trawler Orka

Obala Stjepana Radića 40
Dubrovnik, Croatia

The Adriatic is synonymous with sunshine, sea, and succulent seafood - and where better to enjoy the beauty than aboard the “Orka”. Be taken on an exciting adventure where you will trawl for fish, explore picturesque islands, and feast on freshly caught and prepared specialities.

This large 86’ trawler is powered by a 720HP Cummins engine, and has plenty of space to enjoy the activities and views. Its large lower deck is where you will experience the exciting trawler action and help to sort the day’s catch where, among others, you may find European Sea Bass (locally ‘Smudut’), Common Sea Bream (‘Pagar’), White Sea Bream (‘Sarag’), and Gold Bass (‘Ovrata’), all of which are specialities in local restaurants. On the spacious upper deck you will relax and indulge in mouth-watering dishes and quality local wines, while taking in breathtaking views of the surrounding crystal-clear water. For your comfort, the galley is fitted with air-conditioning, toilet and shower, as well as a TV, and CD & DVD players.

Your trip will start with traditional sweets and liqueurs as you sail out on the open sea. The fishing net will then be lowered and dragged for around two hours, all while you get to enjoy cold appetizers. Once the net is pulled back onto the boat, you will learn about various species as you help to sort out the caught fish. The boat then continues towards Šipan Island, where you will dock at Suđurađ: the most authentic fishing village in Dalmatia. Here you will visit the Daničić family farm, well known for its high-quality wine and olive oil, which you can sample or purchase. There is time to enjoy the beautiful nature of this stunning island, or you can cool off in the refreshing water - all while a delicious lunch of freshly caught fish is being prepared on board. Once you’re back on deck and enjoying the feast, you will sail to Lopud Island for a brief visit. A special dessert will be served on your return to Dubrovnik, ending a perfect day on a very sweet note!
