I am Captain Rick Medeiros. Welcome aboard On The Edge, a remarkable modern vessel crafted by Grady-White. Designed for comfort and excitement, she accommodates up to four adults with ease, and up to six if accompanied by children. Completely retrofitted in 2022, On The Edge boasts a powerful, yet quiet Suzuki 300 HP engine. We prioritize safety, ensuring all equipment is current and ready for your journey. Just bring your favorite snacks, drinks, sunscreen (lotion only, please), and a cooler to keep your catch fresh; we will supply the rest, including all necessary licensing, fishing gear and bait.

Excellent Fishing Trip
4 Hour Trip on August 20, 2025 • 2 adults
Capt Rick’s seamanship and knowledge of the fish is outstanding. We were out in less than ideal conditions and we had little problem catching fish. We did have to change up what we were doing due to waves and winds. We also had to end early. Safety is of the highest importance to Capt Rick and he was professional, responsible and got us a quick refund for hours missed. I highly recommend him for anything you’re planning on the water.

Amazing trip!

Recently we were fortunate enough to spend the afternoon with Captain Rick for a four hour trip off the shore. There were 5 of us and we all had a blast. He knew exactly where to go and kept us pulling them in the whole time. We brought home several keepers after he cleaned and filleted them.
Rick did a great job showing us things around the area and sharing his knowledge (did you know there’s an old sunken pirate ship in the bay??!).

We just had a great 4 hour fishing trip with On the Edge Charters. It was a windy day so pretty choppy on the water, but Rick was great and made the fishing easy. We caught sea bass and a ton of scups. Had the weather been better we would have gone to another fishing ground but his pivot worked well and we still caught a lot of fish. Rick was responsive and communicated well throughout the process. We would definitely go out with him again in the future and recommend him to anyone looking for a great day fishing out of the Dartmouth/New Bedford area.

It was perfect, Captain Rick was great, he was very personable, very fun and very accommodating. All 5 of us enjoyed ourselves and it was exactly was I was hoping it would be. My 12 year old son had a great time and got excited every time he caught a fish ( he caught several ). The highlight for me was having both 12 year old son and my 80 year old father on the boat together creating memories.
