Excited to go fishing in Cedar Key? Make it happen, with Local Slayer!

Depending on conditions, you might hook into Redfish, Speckled Trout, Snook, Flounder, Pompano, African Pompano Jack, Spanish Mackerel, Cobia, Blacktip Shark, Bonnethead Shark, Bull Shark, Tiger Shark, and who knows what else! On these trips, it’s common to drift and bottom fish using light tackle.

Local Slayer is a child-friendly charter service, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!

You’ll be dropping lines from a 25’ Scandy-White skiff that holds up to 6 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water.

Capt. Daniel will supply rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.

The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Have in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.

It’s recommended to bring bottled water, sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

How often would you rather be fishing? Go on and turn that daydream into a reality, with Local Slayer.
