Captain Asley’s Watersports is a family business started by Asley Ebanks in the early 1950s. With over 50 years of experience, they are one of the most trustworthy charter companies in the area. Many tournament wins and catching the largest Blue Marlin in the local waters have further cemented their place as a premium Cayman fishing charter.
Fishing aboard a streamlined 39’ Invincible center console boat, Capt. Derrin Ebanks and his team will guide you to the magnificent fish available in the Caribbean Sea. The boat can develop some serious speed, getting you to the best fishing grounds in no time. It can accommodate up to 6 anglers.
You’ll be fishing the very productive 12-mile bank to the west of the island, and the reef areas close to shore. There a variety of species you can target in these waters. Prepare to come across the likes of Marlin, Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, as well as reef species such as Snapper and Jack Crevalle.
The boat is equipped with top of the range equipment, with Shimano Tiagra reels used on board. With a fighting chair and stand up tackle available, all styles of angling will be catered for. The crew will be happy to clean and fillet any fish you’d like to take home to the table or arrange to have your fresh catch prepared for you at the marina restaurant.
Whether you’re a serious angler or a family looking to spend time together in the fresh air, you’re more than welcome on board. Trips can include visiting Stingray City, Starfish Beach, and snorkeling around the beautiful coral reefs.
Capt. Derrin is proud to be endorsed by Dr. Guy Harvey. He has worked with him several times, assisting him with research trips and several TV shows, as well as winning the CIAC Marlin release tournament with him. All customers leave a fishing trip with Capt. Derrin as a friend and member of the extended family.
