Gone Coastal Charters

109 Causeway Drive
Wrightsville Beach NC, United State…

Gone Coastal Charters do all they can to make every day on the water a good one! They leave from either Wrightsville Beach or Hampstead boat ramps, depending on what has been arranged beforehand with the customer, and fish the inshore, nearshore and offshore waters of the North Carolina coastline.

The fishing adventure begins the moment you step onto Gone Coastal Charters’ vessel: a brand new 23 ft Sea Hunt Ultra 234. This versatile craft can cater for whatever activity you want to take part in the water, from fishing to pleasure cruising to water skiing. The boat’s amenities include a Lowrance HDS chartplotter and sonar system, a VHF radio and two live wells for your bait and catch. There is plenty of space and seating on board for up to five persons.

Fishing trips are always adapted to what the customer wants to achieve. Top quality custom rods are used on board and there is usually a choice of conventional and spinning gear depending on how you prefer to fish. Either live bait or artificials will be employed to hook the perfect catch. Whether you want to fish inshore for Trout, Redfish, Black Drum and Flounder, nearshore for Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, Sea Bass and Cobia, or offshore for Grouper, Mahi Mahi, Tuna and Sailfish, Gone Coastal Charters will do all they can to put you on fish and make your day both enjoyable and memorable.

My wife surprised us with a fishing trip just for the guys! She booked us on the 3/4 day charter which I would highly recommend. We were able go out further and experience some off shore fishing. Captain James was excellent and his passion for fishing made the trip even better. My boys and I had a great time and will cherish the memories we created on this trip.  Thanks and we will be back!

Had a great time but not catching anything was a real disappointment. Not captains fault though. Rough seas forced us to stay inshore. Would have like moving around a little more to find the fish though. Was also a little tricky connecting with the boat. First time experience so wasnt quite sure where to meet up with the boat. Asked around and no one had heard of Gone coastal. Turns out you meet the captain at the local boat launch. Would have been helpful to know this ahead of time. Called him while he was on his way in from the morning trip and found that out so not a big deal
Would have appreciated a call from the captain to let us know that the waters were a little rough and we may not be able to go beyond inshore. Having the option to reschedule would have helped. It does explain this on the website though so I guess we shouldn’t complain but it would still be a nice feature

It was pleasure taking yall out. Unfortuntanely it was a slow day on the water.
When booking a inshore/nearshore trip. The days we are not able to fish on the outside we fish inshore. Thats the norm for charter boats. If you book a offshore trip & sea conditions are not favorable i would call to see if you would want to change it to inshore/nearshore.
Thanks
Captain Jim
