Looking to go fishing in Nanaimo? Getter Done Charters is your ticket! With Captain Brannen at the helm, you’ll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
These waters are known for Chinook Salmon, Lingcod, Halibut, Crab, Shrimp, Rockfish, Coho Salmon, Sockeye Salmon, Skate, Pink Salmon, Chum Salmon, and more – with any luck, you’ll have tight lines in no time.
On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are also a good idea so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
Your day begins aboard a 22’ Grady-White saltwater fishing vessel that holds up to 4 passengers. It has downriggers and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures.
The vessel has cover and heat to stay warm and comfortable even if the weather in the wintertime isn’t the best. We will be setting traps and fishing for the day. Lots of sea life to see including lots of mammals.
Before coming aboard, it may be necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Some essentials to bring are bottled water, sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
The click of a button is the only thing keeping you from a great day on the water with Getter Done Charters!
