Southern Bend Offshore – Tide Ryder
Make an adventure out of your next trip to Orange Beach and go fishing with Southern Bend Offshore Charters. With Captain Landon at the helm, you’re in knowledgeable and experienced hands.
Amberjack, Gag Grouper, Scamp Grouper, Snowy Grouper, Red Grouper, Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Swordfish, Tilefish, Yellowfin Tuna, Blackfin Tuna, Gray Triggerfish, and more can be found in these waters if conditions are right. You can expect to do some fishing with heavy tackle, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
If you’re traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!
Capt. Landon will bring you aboard a 36’ Center console with a capacity for 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates often work for tips, and it’s customary to offer them a 20% tip. Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.
It’s always wise to bring sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
