Robert is an excellent and professional fishing guide! My wife and I booked with him for a half day on the Kenai River to try to snag some silver salmon (we had several unsuccessful days trying for silvers on the Kenai by ourselves). Robert was prompt and friendly, and even had coffee and donuts on board for the chilly morning ahead, and generously offered a sample of his delicious smoked salmon as a snack.

Robert was very knowledgeable, took us to a great spot on the river, and worked hard to get us setup for the day of fishing. The bites were slow due to river conditions and the late time of year for coho, but Robert has a plethora of fascinating stories that kept us chatting and entertained. He also started a non-profit that was cool to learn about (ask him about it!). My wife caught one silver, which Robert neatly filleted up for us at the end of the trip.

We will definitely recommend his fishing and lodging options to our friends and family, and plan to book with Robert again the next time we come to Alaska! :)

Beautiful morning-afternoon on the Kenai River. The captain contacted us ahead of time to make sure we knew what to wear for the weather, and the location. He was professional and knowledgeable of the river and the many species of fish **hidden content** there. His boat the Kraken had a great design very cool looking, and was completely comfortable and for such a big looking engine we were surprised it was super quiet. My husband, myself, and our deaf friend who’s a senior went on this trip. The captain accommodated all of us with professionalism and was very entertaining the whole trip. We were on fish right away, and wow so exciting. The captain knows the river, the tides, and the spots. No combat fishing for us we felt like we were on our own private parts of the river. He was knowledgeable about the other wildlife we saw too. And we saw some awesome eagles, so majestic. What we caught,  we got a variety of trout and myself the lady of the group out caught my husband, a first LOL. My favorite was the Kings and the Dolly Varden.Just an awesome adventure and we all would highly recommend it!!!

We went on a honeymoon fishing trip with Captain Robert. We had such a fun time and caught limits for the both of us. Captain was knowledgeable about the fisheries, fun to chat with and even took us to look for Eagles after we finished fishing. He had all the good gear and had a heater to keep us warm, it was a chilly morning! It was an adventure we wont forget! We will definitely be back to fish with Captain Robert with our family. I don’t think I could say enough good things about Captain Robert and the fishing experience he provides. He put us on the fish immediately. My wife and I really appreciated the time he spent helping our sons learn the technique we were using to catch the salmon. Captain Robert even had my oldest son using a fly rod. I really think you would not regret booking a trip with him. It was definitely one of the best fishing trips we’ve ever done.
