Spend the day with Fish Skinny Charters & Guide Service and find out what fishing in Georgetown is all about! Being a true native for over 50 years of the upper South Carolina coast and having logged many hours on these waters, Captain Greg knows them backward and forwards!
Just to the south of Myrtle Beach, on the lower end of what is referred to as the “Grand Strand,” lies the waters adjacent to Georgetown, SC., Winyah Bay, North Inlet, and the Santee Delta. This area is the northern beginning along the coastal South Carolina Lowcountry of a vast and contiguous estuary system of coastal rivers, bays, sounds, and creeks among expansive marshes with unspoiled scenic views.
All are holding and harboring life above and below the surface. Inshore fishing opportunities abound in these uncrowded, much less hectic waters, and plenty of it. From backwater fishing for Redfish, Trout, Flounder, and more in the marshes to the open bays and inlets which in the summer and early fall months offer a chance also to pursue Tarpon, Bull Red Drum, and other species. This area is an inshore fishing haven, and fortunately, Capt. Greg’s “office!”
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids ages 5 and up are welcome aboard! It’s recommended to bring bottled water, snacks, sodas/drinks (no glass), sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses.
The trip is aboard a 21’ Bay boat with space for 4 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. Your captain will provide the fishing licenses, rods, and reels, as well as lures/bait and coolers with ice.
The safety of his clients is a top priority! Next is that your time together is an enjoyable one. Every effort will be made to see that all have fun and get a tug at the end of your line!
